Most everyone who reads this knows that my funky kitchen fixture has been on it's last legs for awhile now. I finally decided to take matters into my own hands and buy a new fixture and install it myself!! I ain't afraid of no stinkin' electricity.
(ok... that's not entirely true... it took me about 20 minutes to get the nerve up to touch the wires because I was afraid I somehow didn't shut the power off to them and it was just a coincidence that the light went off when I hit the breaker....lol. I would do a little teeny really fast poke at the wire and then try to assess if I felt like I felt a shock or not. I did this about 10 times....lol! And then when I stripped the wires, I still used my silicone pot holders... ROFL... like they would have made a difference!!)
I didn't get shades for it because I was HOPING my funky shades would fit, but of course they won't... so I'll be making another visit to Lowe's today! It's all good... they had some funky ones that will easily fill the old funky shades shoes ;)
Now the kitchen is lit up so brightly, you could remove an appendix, which is a really good thing because going by the "professional" photos that Sophie had done at cheerleading, she needs an appendectomy STAT!!!!

Too freaking funny, I really didn't know how anyone could frig up an outside shoot but Ingrid told me I would be surprised at how they can indeed mess it all up.
She looks like a freak. So glad I got keychains for my parents and a big button for myself!
ROFL, the photographer must laugh his ass off as he rolls in his piles of money and looks at the ridiculous pictures people are stuck with!
Hats off to you for the electrical stuff. I will rip out walls, put down flooring and re-hang gutters, but I will NOT touch wiring. I'm an absolute moron when it comes to that stuff. I make Scott do it. He has more life insurance.
She totally puled off the electrician thing! She rocked that lamp up there and it worked and everything! Nice job, Honey!
I don't like electricity. BUT Jerry put all the lights up in here. Doesn't bother him. Guess once you get lifted you just get used to it LOL...
OMG Sophie looks like she is in pain. I just don't get the pose at all. Did the photographer just say next ..click...good.. It's awful how much they charge for those pictures too. I have a soccer picture of Zack and he has his chin up to the sky with a big ass jack o lantern smile...You can't even really see his eyes...They just don't care.
